In nmrshiftdb2, we have options to use the database via what I called automation interfaces. It is a mixture of simple http request, web services etc. Do we want something similar in nmrxiv? Things like the option to download a spectrum in various formats via URL would be useful, I think. See https://sourceforge.net/p/nmrshiftdb2/wiki/AutomationInterfaces/ for what we have.
