Engaging USAID. They instigated this idea.
Discussing using the Galapagos as one of the pilot projects because:
USAID has projects there (also, see #2).
The Galapagos are interesting and charismatic.
A student of Ben Zaitchik (Chair of JHU Earth and Planetary Sciences, President of AGU, AND Erin’s PhD advisor) would be included. This would kill at least two birds with one small stone. Will discuss further.
They may have Cyanobacteria blooms (now, lets not get confused again…), so this is a good chance to bring help from CyAN.
The Gene Feldman is very interested in helping and has something going on there already. He know people.”
