It would be of great use to can have a Generic LuxMaterial based on LuxGlossy for example, which has drop-down menu from which you can chose between
Matte
Matte Translucent
Rough Matte
Glossy
Glossy Translucent
Metal
Mirror
Arch Glass
Glass
Rough Glass
Glossy coating
Velvet
Cloth
capable to retain compatible textured channels and chosen colors while switching from a material type to another.
This request will make it easier to use MaxToLux and will make it useful when converting a scene from a given render to LuxCore.

Other materials like LuxMix, LuxCarpaint can be left as they are since others renders has them too as separate material type, for conversion it might be useful.
For example Glossy Translucent is like vray SSS material, so it could be left as now too.

I'll not promise anything because there is a lot of work for such things. but I will consider it if there was enough time to develop it.
