I installed the plugin, authenticated, and then initialized an update via the menu ("Update Game Library" -> "Indiegogo"), and during the metadata download stage it stopped to prompt me to select a background for every single item in my library (since it was a fresh install of the plugin; I'm sure it would just prompt for new items if it had not).
I think I'd recommend that the prompt should probably only pop up when doing a manual update of a single game (or perhaps even a selected set of games). It's pretty tedious to have to sit there and select 80 different backgrounds for an update to complete; I know I certainly gave up and canceled metadata import well before it was through. I think it would be reasonable for it to do what the other plugins seem to do for full automated imports like that, and just take the first graphic in the list (or a static nth graphic) to be the one used as the background, and a user can manually change them later. Even in the worst case scenario where the user wants every item customized, this is an equivalent amount of work to the user (still going through every item and selecting from the dialog), but can be done independently of the import itself. And in the best case it's basically transparent.

I think part of the issue was my confusion with what was meant by the phrase "game is not found". Just checked the code and I see it didn't mean what I thought it meant. Will be refining my problem description and recommendation here shortly.
I should also note that the current selection behavior seems to cause inconsistencies when doing a manual metadata update, as the Indiegogo metadata updater behaves differently than the IGDB updater when it comes to dealing with those images.
