Collections Tab is full of content, but filter>collections is empty

Collections Tab is full of content, but filter>collections is empty. Hoping to use the filter tab to browse. Any ideas what I'm missing?

only collection tags show up there so if your collections are smart collections they will not show up as a collection tag

Forgive me for being daft, but where do I set that up? I can see this page outlining smart labels but for the life of me I can't find what to change.

I'm using one of the git configs from SiskoUrso

The smart_label lines in the templates make them smart collections

Thanks, I commented out the line
smart_label: random

Now the collection appears in the filter tab, thanks!
