If you download the latest AppImage as of today, and run it on a fresh Debian 12 install, no window opens, no matter if you run it without parameters, with --settings or with --synthesis.

If you log out and before logging in again select Gnome Classic (I think it switches to X instead of Wayland, among other things), then it works.

PS: I would really appreciate a headless version.

You're right, we don't support Wayland at the moment.
This is planned for a future version.

Ok, good to know. If you display a message on Wayland, saying Wayland isn't supported, then I would consider Wayland-Support a missing feature. If you just don't display anything in the GUI or terminal, then I consider this a bug.

Especially considering Wayland is basically the default Linux display protocol, if you consider the market shares of the distributions which use it by default.
