Hi, I was writing up some config requests when I got to the "check if this has already been requested" part... so I'm moving what I had in mind to here: DescriptionThrough config, I'd like to set different arousal and climax regeneration rates for players and npcs. I'd also like players to be able to opt in to climax automatically past a threshold, to be roped in to NPC chain climaxing (in either direction), or to have an auto paired climax option for NPC-player pairings. I feel that the former could be added to the current system through "defaultplayer" and "defaultnpc" rates, or incorporated with the arrival of your new climax core system. ReasonDifferential rates: depending on player desires, they will likely want to have a character that will become aroused or climax more or less frequently than their NPC partners. I think it would be a widely utilized option that enables multiple fantasies within the SxB framework. Player auto-climax, etc.: "click here to cum instantly" is good for players who want that level of control, especially in RP with one another. However, for individuals, it's not very immersive, and for massively endowed players like myself, it can be much more practical/satisfying to allow their characters to climax "naturally," especially if the intervals can be predesigned through the aforementioned config functions. Some users will also enjoy the ability to be led to a climax by an NPC partner near their peak--and vice versa. Have you checked existing requests?Yes, it's why I'm here now! To engage with your ideas more... I can see the vision of arousal differential on either side of the positions, and I think it's very good granularity--especially with the more simulationist philosophy of Reborn compared to the original. It probably wouldn't play extremely well with having default differential rates, because the relative % differences could lead to more hentai-like differences on both sides... but this could be offset by players reducing the magnitudes of the differential values in their configs. I imagine thrust/animation speed control would be of highest value to roleplayers, and of less value (? I could be wrong) to soloists. Depending on the effort involved--and your personal interest--I would prioritize it accordingly. Lastly, regarding player control--it's true that anything besides clicking to cum takes control from the player, but is that so bad? As long as the alternative is opt-in (and it sounds like you envision it being so) then I don't foresee any issues. Additional contextWhat I'm saying is--my pp is SO huge, I need BOTH hands on it, and having to CLICK A BUTTON to make my player character CUM is a HINDRANCE. In case it wasn't clear. Thanks! |
NPC sided: The logic for NPC climax is very far-spread and convoluted. They immediately try to climax every tick their climax value is at 100+, aborting said check based on several possible config-based conditions. This results in them either doing nothing, or immediately climaxing upon hitting 100. It, by the way, doesn't even utilize the config set "threshold" for climaxing as this is a value set as core statusResource on every sexbound enabled NPC. Neither does the player. This has been convoluted even more with the addition of the "climax chain" mechanic. Finally, this disallows NPCs to ever trigger scripted climaxes by themselves.
This system needs a big upgrade. The climax trigger checks can be streamlined to only occur when the NPC is allowed to act autonomous to begin with.
Player sided: This part is the hardest to balance, as any kind of change is generally taking away freedom from the player. Then again, just waiting for a bar to fill and then click on it is the most boring approach to this possible.
The proposal: Climax value increased to 120. Climax becomes available at 100 and forcibly happens at 120. This requires bigger UI changes to clearly visualize. For immersion reasons, this also applies to players - but can, of course, be turned off; much like how NPC climax autonomy can still be toggled off.
In order to offer more control to the player in compensation, multiple speed/thrust options are offered to control climax gain, with different positions being tweaked to affect different actors differently. This part needs serious balancing. The NPC AI would then prefer to stick to a single position per climax, and only switch penetration speed/style on a random timer. NPCs will also, with a random chance, choose scripted climaxes if their climax values line up in the 100-120 region.
This is currently still a concept idea.
