❯ defang --version
defang version 662f8f1

Latest CLI: v0.7.0
Defang Fabric: v0.6.0-197-gaa6cb638

I understand if one of those includes the server version but then the --version should also say v0.7.0 instead of just a commit hash

Not sure I follow. --version only shows the version of your current CLI. defang version shows that, but also shows the latest available one. @acote88
