I like to use the broadcast intents to control Syncthing with automation apps (e.g. Tasker, Automate, etc).

However. I would also like to occasionally manually start Syncthing (Maybe to add a new device, or check the status of other nodes.) but the force start option is a NOP when using intents.

I suppose I could create a shortcut to manually fire an intent but I would prefer if the Force Start worked in all scenarios.

Same, I have a shortcut to start/stop syncthing once every 2 hours for 1 minute to save battery life but if I sync videos or do any big transfers I want to run the service manually. I always found the run condition to be self-limiting--there should always be the option to run it manually when the app is opened and the conditions should only pertain to automatically running it as a service. It's not intuitive when the app is opened but the service can't be run manually regardless of whether the run conditions are met.
