Update release to incorporate all the fixes in master since June 2015

Can you release a new version of the library please? There are loads of really useful fixes which have been incorporated into master since the last release (v1.1.0 back in June 2015).

One of the ones affecting me was the issue with a square image - there is an open issue since September, and I'm sure other people have hit that too!

These are all the fixes since v1.1.0 - v1.1.0...master

The square image issues were fixed in July 2015 (f681076), but an issue opened about them in September 2015 (#42)

It looks like @AllanBishop hasn't been active in 9 months. The link to his blog is also dead as well. I'm very new to github, what's the procedure in situations like this?

I needed pull request 32 by @gvinaccia to get this to work for me on mobile.

I'd also like to submit my own pull request for a fix to scrolling not working on mobile.
