Codebase Cleanup: In this release, we've invested significant effort in cleaning up the SAT codebase, resulting in a more streamlined and organized integration. This cleanup ensures better maintainability, readability, and overall code quality, allowing for smoother future development.
Bug Fixes and Enhancements: We've addressed several bugs and issues reported by our users, ensuring a more stable and reliable integration. These fixes include resolving known issues related to relative modulation and pulse width modulation. We appreciate your feedback, and we're committed to continuously improving SAT based on your valuable input.
Thank you for your continued support and feedback. With each update, we're dedicated to delivering an exceptional heating control solution that enhances your comfort and energy efficiency.
Stay tuned for more exciting features and improvements in future updates.
Derivative Dynamics
We're thrilled to announce the latest update to our Smart Autotune Thermostat (SAT) integration, featuring exciting enhancements and important fixes that further enhance your heating control experience.
Derivative Dynamics Calculation:
Introducing the Derivative Dynamics feature, a new addition that calculates the derivative of the temperature while warming up until the system reaches the deadband. This calculation provides valuable insights into your heating system's performance and sets the stage for future enhancements. While this release focuses on collecting and storing the derivative value, upcoming updates will unlock its full potential, enabling a range of exciting features.
MQTT Relative Modulation Value Fix:
We've resolved an issue where the relative modulation value was not correctly pushed through MQTT. This fix ensures seamless communication and synchronization between SAT and your MQTT-enabled OpenTherm gateway, ensuring precise control of your heating system.
Enhanced Config Flow:
We've reworked the configuration flow to provide a more user-friendly experience. The new flow guides you through the setup process step-by-step, making it easier to configure SAT according to your specific requirements. Whether you're a novice or an experienced user, the enhanced config flow ensures a smooth and hassle-free integration setup.
Thank you for choosing SAT! Stay tuned for more updates and exciting features as we continue to enhance your heating control experience.

Draft Dodger
We're excited to announce the latest update to our Smart Autotune Thermostat (SAT) integration, introducing two new features that further enhance your home's heating control.
Firstly, we're now supporting switches. The PID Thermostat with PWM ( ON/OFF )
option is a new addition that allows SAT to control a switch in your home automation system, rather than using OpenTherm to control your boiler. This feature still uses SAT's efficient PID controller and heating curve to achieve optimal energy efficiency.
Secondly, we've added support for contact sensors. When a window or door is opened for a period of time, SAT will detect this and automatically switch to the activity preset, which is set to 10 degrees by default. This ensures that energy is not wasted by heating the outside.
We've named this update "Draft Dodger", as it allows SAT to keep an eye on your home's windows and doors to maintain optimal heating control.
Thank you for choosing SAT!
Frostbite Fighter
We're excited to announce the release of the first version of our Smart Autotune Thermostat (SAT) integration.
This integration provides multi-room temperature control with support for temperature synchronization, adjustable heating curve coefficients, presets for different modes, automatic gains for PID control, and overshoot protection. Control your home's heating system with ease using SAT and OpenTherm-compatible boilers.
And that's just the beginning. The SAT integration has many more features to offer beyond what's listed here. Stay tuned for updates and new releases as we continue to enhance the integration.
Thank you for choosing SAT!
